Reservation Instructions for the Golden Plains Region:
Carefully read the instructions in the "How" section of the activity description. Then register online or use a Council Event Reservation Form and follow the instructions at the top of the form according to whether you are registering as a troop/group or individual. Please be sure to submit forms within the reservation period.
Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, and they will continue as long as space is available. If a session is full, you have the option of placing your girls on a waiting list.
NOTE: Due to limited space and the nature of these activities, tagalongs cannot be accommodated. Tagalongs are defined as individuals of any age who are not registered Girl Scouts or a registered Girl Scout attending an event specified for an age level that is different from her age level.

Event Reservation Dates

Some events fill quickly; others don't close until the end of the reservation period. Go online to check openings or call the Girl Scout Center-Wichita (316) 684-6531 or toll-free (888) 472-3683. Confirmation Notices
Event confirmation notices are not sent unless it is indicated otherwise. Go online to check availability of events. Those who register by mail will be notified only if troops/girls did not get placed.

Capacity of Events
Capacity may be determined by any or all of the following: age level of participants, space, facilities, consultants or program resources. If an event is full, or if there is any problem with your reservation, you will be contacted.

Participants With Special Needs
When registering, please indicate if there will be girls or adults attending who have special needs. Advance notice will help volunteers who are planning the event to make any necessary arrangements to accommodate those special needs.

Financial Assistance
Assistance is available for girls who may not otherwise be able to participate in Girl Scout activities. Assistance may be requested for troop or group dues, uniforms, program activities and council events. Application forms for financial assistance are available at the Girl Scout Center-Wichita. Financial Aid requests must be submitted and approved before signing up a girl for an event.

"Safety-Wise"
"Safety-Wise" is a Girl Scouts of the USA publication containing health and safety guidelines for Girl Scout events and activities. The guidelines help ensure a safe and sound program experience that will protect and maintain the well-being of every Girl Scout. All Girl Scout events and activities should stay within the "Safety-Wise" standards and guidelines.

Event Cancellations
It is very rare for an event to be cancelled. The weather that affects one area may not affect the location where the event is being held. If an event is cancelled because of the weather or some other unforeseen circumstance, listen to the radio for announcements.

Lost and Found Items
Every effort will be made to return any items lost and found at council events to the original owner. Lost and found items from an event will be held for pickup for three weeks in the Council Shop-Wichita. After that time unclaimed items will be donated to a worthy cause.

Refunds
Refunds are only issued for total amounts of $5 or more. Refunds will be issued to the troop/group treasury. A FULL REFUND is given when the Girl Scout Center-Wichita is notified of a cancellation:
1) Due to a serious illness or a death in the family; or
2) before the end of the reservation period.
A refund may also be issued if the Girl Scout Center-Wichita is notified of a cancellation a week in advance of the event AND the space can be filled from a waiting list. (Troops or groups may replace their own girls with other members of the same troop or group who are eligible to attend the event and are not yet signed up. If the names of participants change, it will be necessary to notify the Girl Scout Center-Wichita to update the list of participants.)
